Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island,
The Isle of Palms, Wild Dunes & Sullivan's Island |
Perhaps nowhere in North America offers
a more idyllic marriage between high culture and easy living than
Charleston and her nearby Resort Islands. Known as "the Lowcountry",
this region is home to five coastal island communities, Kiawah
Island, Seabrook
Island, the Isle
of Palms, Wild
Dunes and Sullivan's
Island. All are a short drive from the sights and sounds of historic
downtown Charleston.
Charleston offers some of the most pristine beaches in South Carolina.
Kiawah Island alone boasts 10 miles of beachfront, championship
golf, world-class tennis and 30 miles of paved bike and jogging trails
and was rated the "Top Nature Beach" by the Travel Channel
and ranked third among "Top North American Islands" by the
readers of Conde Nast Traveler. Seabrook Island is a
very private Club Community with two great golf courses, a fine racquet
club, a full service Beach Club with an oceanfront facility
for full service weddings and meetings. The East Islands
offer beautiful beaches, a full service resort, resort villas and
a number of large beautiful homes as well! Each Island offers
great golf, tennis, boating, shopping and dining. Their close proximity
to Historic Charleston's attractions makes a beach or golf vacation
on these islands truly special.
ResortQuest is the largest vacation rental company serving
Charleston's resort islands. |
